My Snowy Treat

My Snowy Treat is a tall bottle brush tree that sits in a musical powder box from the 1940s.  It has a lovely antique German porcelain doll head, a paper-mache’ carrot nose, and wears a tinsel garland “scarf”, a decorative paper petal collar, and mittens with tiny black buttons attached.  His black top-hat is also decorated with vintage pieces and miniature lightbulbs serve as icicles. Two wooden snowflakes spring up from his hat, covered in silver mirrored glass glitter that will tarnish in time and continue to sparkle and reflect light beautifully. The same glass glitter surrounds the base of the powder box along with a row of rhinestones for added sparkle. The “Snowy Treat” that this snowman carries is a dome-covered cake plate that holds a snowbaby, a tiny glittered bottle brush tree and snowballs. Wind the key from beneath the powder box base to hear the tune “Winter Wonderland”.
